About the position
As a Rooms Controller at Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW), you will play a crucial role in enhancing the vacation experiences of our Owners and guests. This position involves managing room assignments, accommodating guest requests, and ensuring smooth check-in processes, all while maintaining high standards of guest service and company policies. You will work in a supportive and friendly environment, contributing to memorable vacation moments for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Assigns a room according to guest requests and preferences whenever possible.
- Reviews, tracks, and accommodates requests for room/check-out changes when possible.
- Performs duplicate reservation checks and blocks rooms.
- Confirms reservations and cancellations.
- Communicates to appropriate staff about guests waiting for an available room.
- Organizes and coordinates check-in/pre-registration procedures for arriving groups.
- Reviews requests for late check-outs and approves according to occupancy.
- Welcomes and greets guests, anticipating and addressing their needs.
- Interacts with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.
- Contributes to team goals and follows company policies and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
- Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items that weigh up to 10lbs without assistance.
- Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy.
