About The Position

The Rooms Controller at Andaz Miami Beach is a key role responsible for managing room assignments for all arriving guests, ensuring their preferences and stay history are considered. This position is integral to providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for guests in a luxury hotel setting. The Rooms Controller will work closely with various departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction as the hotel prepares for its opening in early 2025.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Diploma in Hospitality/ Tourism Management or a relevant field
• 2 years or more of progressive Hotel Rooms Management experience
• Ability to speak a second Language fluently is an asset
• Experience with OPERA Property Management System
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications
• Refined verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Well-groomed, professional appearance
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with diverse backgrounds
• Full flexibility, including the ability to work weekends and holidays
• Desire to understand and anticipate the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
• High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, strong developer and trainer

Responsibilities

• Assign rooms according to guest requests and preferences
• Be an expert of the hotel and all room types
• Organize and coordinate check-in/pre-registration of arriving guests
• Support the Front Office team with general operational tasks
• Respond to guest inquiries for special arrangements or services
• Review the daily room availability and inform all appropriate team members
• Review status of departures on a daily basis and relay pertinent information to Guest Services Colleagues
• Ensure that guests' needs are fulfilled and their stay is pleasurable
• Assist with dining, entertainment, or transportation reservations as needed
• Maintain clear and efficient communication with housekeeping and other departments
• Conduct or ensure all Training and Evaluations are completed as required
• Complete various additional tasks and assignments as needed
