About the position
The Rooms Leader in Development (LID) program at Omni PGA Frisco Resort is a 12-month initiative aimed at cultivating future managers in the hospitality industry. Participants will engage in hands-on training within the Rooms division, balancing practical work experience with structured learning commitments to enhance their understanding of hotel operations and management.
Responsibilities
- Learn and perform all aspects of Rooms operations
- Oversee the performance of staff and take corrective actions when necessary
- Schedule staff and maintain accurate payroll records
- Clean and inspect guest rooms
- Respond to guest requests and complaints as required
- Monitor product inventory and order additional products as necessary
- Interview and select staff
- Follow up on established training steps
- Handle guest comments and complaints to ensure guest satisfaction
- Communicate with guests and receive feedback
- Ensure all housekeeping and Front Office operations are performed according to Omni Hotels standards
- Meet with Division head weekly, Director of Human Resources monthly, and corporate mentor bi-monthly
Requirements
- An Associate's degree or higher, preferably in Hospitality Management
- Previous Housekeeping or Rooms Division experience preferred
- Willingness to work 50 hours per week with a flexible schedule
- Willingness to relocate upon completion of the program for timely promotion to a management role
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
- Enthusiastic, professional, and positive attitude
- Attention to detail, order, and cleanliness
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional phone manner
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
