About the position
The Rooms Leader-in-Development (LID) program at Omni PGA Frisco Resort is a 12-month initiative aimed at transforming graduates into proficient managers within the Rooms Division. Participants will engage in hands-on training, working 40 hours weekly in the department while dedicating an additional 10 hours to Learning Commitments that cover various aspects of hotel operations and their specific division.
Responsibilities
- Learn and perform all aspects of Rooms operations
- Oversee the performance of staff and take corrective actions when necessary
- Schedule staff appropriately
- Maintain accurate payroll records to ensure staff is paid correctly
- Clean and inspect guest rooms
- Respond to guest requests and complaints as required
- Monitor product inventory and order additional products as necessary
- Conduct interviewing and selection of staff
- Follow up on established training steps
- Handle guest comments and complaints to ensure guest satisfaction
- Communicate with guests and receive feedback
- Ensure that all housekeeping and Front Office operations are performed according to Omni Hotels standards
- Meet with Division head weekly, Director of Human Resources monthly, and corporate mentor bi-monthly
Requirements
- An Associate's degree or higher is required, preferably in Hospitality Management
- Previous Housekeeping or Rooms Division experience is preferred
- Must be willing to work 50 hours per week with a flexible schedule
- Willingness to relocate upon completion of the program to ensure timely promotion to a management role
- Previous experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
- Enthusiastic, professional, and positive attitude at all times
- Attention to detail, order, and cleanliness
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and exceptional phone manner
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
