About the position

The position involves assisting in managing the operations of the rooms area departments, including Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance, and Housekeeping. The role focuses on improving guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing financial performance. The candidate will lead a team, ensure compliance with standards, and work towards achieving property goals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the execution of all operations in the rooms area departments.
  • Create and nurture a property environment that emphasizes motivation and teamwork.
  • Understand employee and guest satisfaction results and develop strategies to improve them.
  • Lead by example and assist employees in understanding and exceeding guest expectations.
  • Communicate and update all goals and results with employees.
  • Perform hourly job functions as needed and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area; OR a 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years of experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a managerial role within hospitality.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements and performance data.
