About the position

The Rooms Operations Manager at Sheraton New Orleans Hotel is responsible for overseeing the execution of all operations in the rooms area departments, including Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance, and Housekeeping. This role focuses on enhancing guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing the financial performance of the department. The manager will lead a team, ensure compliance with standards, and strive to meet or exceed property goals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the execution of all operations in the rooms area departments.
  • Strive to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction.
  • Monitor compliance with standards and procedures.
  • Lead specific teams while assisting with meeting or exceeding property goals.
  • Create and nurture a property environment that emphasizes motivation and teamwork.
  • Understand employee and guest satisfaction results and develop plans to address needs and expand strengths.
  • Verify that the team has the capabilities to meet expectations.
  • Assist employees in understanding and exceeding guests' needs and expectations.
  • Publish guest satisfaction results in a timely manner.
  • Take proactive approaches when dealing with employee and guest concerns.
  • Review financial statements and performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement.
  • Conduct interviews and assist in making hiring decisions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area.
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area.
