About the position
The position involves assisting in managing the execution of operations in the rooms area departments, including Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance, and Housekeeping. The role focuses on improving guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing financial performance. The candidate will lead a specific team, monitor compliance with standards, and help achieve property goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the execution of all operations in the rooms area departments.
- Create and nurture a property environment that emphasizes motivation and teamwork.
- Understand employee and guest satisfaction results and develop strategies to improve them.
- Lead by example and assist employees in understanding and exceeding guest expectations.
- Communicate and update all goals and results with employees.
- Perform hourly job functions as needed and assist with scheduling against guest and occupied room goals.
- Respond timely to customer service department requests and manage guest concerns.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area.
- 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a managerial role within hospitality.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to analyze financial statements and performance data.
