About the position
Acuren is seeking Rope Access Mechanical Technicians of all experience levels to support operations in Billings, MT, starting in January 2025. The role involves performing mechanical tasks safely and efficiently, with a preference for local candidates due to the nature of the work. Technicians will be responsible for ensuring operational safety and assisting other team members as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform specific job functions as they relate to work orders
- Be conversant with relevant work techniques
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of advanced rescue techniques
- Demonstrate all the skills and knowledge required of level I, II & III
- Assist other technicians as required
- Ensure operational safety of all equipment
Requirements
- IRATA Level 1, 2 & 3 Certification required
- A thorough understanding of applicable rope access applications
- Comprehensive knowledge of theory, equipment, rigging, maneuvers, climbing and hauling, and advanced rescue techniques
- A minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience as an IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician
- Current first aid certification
- A valid driver's license is preferred
- Ability to work effectively within a diverse team
- Ability to work productively in a variety of adverse conditions
- Valid TWIC card
