About the position

Advanced Energy is seeking a recent college graduate in Electrical Engineering for a 12-month rotation program across three different locations. This program aims to develop a broad set of skills before transitioning into a Field Application Engineer (FAE) role. The FAE will support sales growth in the industrial and medical power supply segments by collaborating with sales, marketing, and design engineers to provide technical support and drive design wins for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Support the adoption of Advanced Energy power solutions at all stages of the engagement process from presales to postproduction support.
  • Provide AE solution recommendations, system architecture guidance, schematic review, and on-site customer qualification & debug support.
  • Develop engineering relationships with customers to identify and communicate technical requirements for new applications.
  • Provide technology updates and product training to customers, sales, and distribution.
  • Act as a trusted customer advocate, earning respect from engineering leaders internally and with customers.
  • Influence sales strategy with technical perspectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, focusing on power electronics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and methodology.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and advocate for customers.
  • Basic knowledge of power electronics and ability to qualify, test, modify, and debug power supplies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer-facing roles or technical sales support.
  • Familiarity with industry trends in power electronics.
