About the position

The Rotational Field Application Engineer position at Advanced Energy is designed for recent graduates in Electrical Engineering to undergo a 12-month rotation program across three different locations. This program aims to develop a broad set of skills in design, application, and field engineering before transitioning into a Field Application Engineer role. The position focuses on driving sales growth in the industrial and medical power supply segments by providing technical support and collaborating with various teams to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Support the adoption of Advanced Energy power solutions at all stages of the engagement process from presales to postproduction support.
• Provide AE solution recommendations, system architecture guidance, schematic review, and on-site customer qualification & debug support.
• Develop engineering relationships with customers to identify and communicate technical requirements for new applications or customer needs.
• Provide technology updates and product training to customers, sales, and distribution.
• Act as a trusted customer advocate, earning respect from engineering leaders internally and with customers.
• Influence sales strategy with technical perspectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, focusing on power electronics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and methodology.
• Charismatic communication skills to advocate for customers and the company.
• Basic knowledge of power electronics and ability to qualify, test, modify, and debug power supplies.
