In this role, the Process Engineer is expected to adhere to Ahlstrom-Munksjö's stringent manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures, and policies. This adherence is crucial to meet and maintain safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper produced. The engineer will manage assigned projects that focus on reliability, cost reduction, and continuous improvement, ensuring that these projects are completed safely and effectively. Additionally, the role involves providing problem-solving support for operational areas of the plant, identifying cost reduction opportunities, and leading initiatives to drive down engineering and manufacturing costs. The Process Engineer will also assess process effectiveness, identify potential improvements, and assist in implementing solutions. A significant aspect of the role is to learn and help deploy Continuous Improvement methodologies to support business unit efforts aimed at enhancing product quality and operational processes. This includes assisting in identifying the appropriate tools to establish and maintain a culture focused on continuous improvement within the manufacturing organization. Furthermore, the engineer will provide support during outages and down days, ensuring that operational goals and objectives are met, and will contribute to operational excellence initiatives.
