Responsibilities
- Perform operations and operate all equipment efficiently in the belting, stoning, and gauging of metal castings.
- Belt and stone finishing and refinishing of visual indications.
- Perform all gauging necessary using gauges, micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
- Ensure dimensional integrity of all parts and visual acceptance of castings.
- Pass inspection/audits in accordance with customer specifications and company procedures.
- Record daily work performed and correct distribution of work time identifying same by operational codes.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area following all safety rules.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating effectively with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality and quantity.
- Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving.
- Strong sense of urgency with the ability to work independently.
