About the position
The Roustabout position at Nabors involves performing various manual labor tasks on the rig to ensure safe and efficient operations. The role requires working under the supervision of the Forklift Operator and reporting to the Rig Manager, focusing on tasks such as assisting with supply management, housekeeping, and basic maintenance duties.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Forklift Operator with offloading and back loading of supply vehicles.
- Perform housekeeping activities on the rig including washing, chipping, and painting.
- Assist Forklift Operator with moving and relocating supplies, pipe, and other equipment on the rig.
- Assist the Derrickhand within the mud pit, mud pump, and chemical sack rooms.
- Perform simple maintenance and repairs to the plumbing and sewer systems.
- Relieve the floorhands on the drilling crew when trained.
- Perform other general labor duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to wear respiratory protective devices.
- Ability to successfully complete Rig Pass.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the airport for transportation to the rig or job site.
