About the position

The Yard Laborer position at Select Water Solutions is an entry-level role focused on maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the company's facilities. The position involves various tasks such as landscaping, equipment maintenance, and ensuring a safe work environment. The role requires effective communication with clients and adherence to safety protocols while performing maintenance duties.

Responsibilities

• Cutting grass and weed eating
• Washing trucks and trailers
• General upkeep of the Select location
• Maintaining a courteous and professional manner with clients
• Communicating with customers and employees to address questions and concerns
• Operating under all safety guidelines and being aware of PPE requirements
• Securing equipment and safely transporting it according to company policies and DOT regulations
• Performing maintenance on buildings, infrastructure, and facility equipment
• Managing inventory and acquisitions of maintenance supplies
• Requesting materials, tools, and supplies needed for jobs
• Conducting minor repairs in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, mechanical, and painting
• Assessing repair needs and determining if professional assistance is required
• Completing reports and work orders related to repairs
• Monitoring service contractors and building repair/maintenance contractors
• Following safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High degree of business acumen and good decision-making skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills
• Professional demeanor and exceptional leadership skills
• Knowledge of natural gas/pipeline industry operations and maintenance services
• Ability to operate Bobcat equipment and attachments
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment
• Experience in pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical maintenance
• Ability to work with little supervision
