About the position

The Route Delivery Truck Driver plays a crucial role in the food supply chain by ensuring timely and safe delivery of food and food-related products to customers. This position not only involves driving but also requires building strong relationships with customers while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on various routes for food delivery.
• Perform safety checks and inspections of the vehicle and trailer according to DOT regulations.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company driving guidelines.
• Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
• Perform count checks of items and verify customer invoices.
• Drive to and deliver customer orders according to a predetermined schedule.
• Unload products and transport them to designated storage areas.
• Verify delivery with customers and obtain necessary signatures.
• Collect payments where required.
• Complete daily records of hours of service in accordance with regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and loading dock area.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• Valid CDL-A
• Must be 21+ years of age
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
• Pass road test
• Attain or have a valid current DOT Health Card
• Ability to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move product cases of varying sizes and weights.
