About the position

The Route Field Sales Representative will primarily work from home while serving as a key contact for assigned areas, focusing on building relationships with retailers and educating both store personnel and consumers about products. The role involves visiting grocery stores, managing field activities, and supporting sales efforts to enhance brand awareness in the food and beverage industry.

Responsibilities

• Support the Manager in account management by managing field activities.
• Visit various grocery stores to meet with store managers, dairy managers, and product demonstration personnel.
• Complete daily administrative work within the 8-hour workday.
• Conduct field surveys to collect information from in-store customers and event participants.
• Train and educate product demonstration personnel in stores.
• Establish and build retail relationships through regular visits to retailers in the territory.
• Educate and assist Dairy Managers and other retailer personnel about product issues and marketing objectives.
• Rotate and restock shelves when visiting a store while on duty.
• Monitor and maintain retail integrity and compliance on all store calls.
• Provide accurate photo records of store visits and tangible targets achieved.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of merchandising or sales experience in the food/beverage industry is a must.
• 1-2 years of experience in a retail environment, particularly grocery stores, is a plus.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid auto insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs without restrictions.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in Internet, Windows, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the food/beverage industry is preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
• Ability to work with little supervision and be a self-starter.
