About the position

The Route Sales and Service Representative (SSR) at Crystal Clean is responsible for applying sales strategies to grow the business at new and existing customer sites while performing various service responsibilities. This role involves customer service, waste management, and compliance with safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in and promote safe work behaviors consistent with HCC safety guidelines.
  • Provide customer service and develop new business in assigned geographic areas.
  • Align work orders to minimize mileage and travel time.
  • Inspect vehicle and equipment for safe operation.
  • Service existing customers by exchanging solvent or aqueous fluids and removing drum wastes.
  • Pursue additional services with existing accounts.
  • Assess potential customer needs and present HCC products and services.
  • Develop sales leads for Data-Marketing.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and neatly.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
  • Achieve sales quotas for total revenue and new customer development.
  • Adhere to all corporate policies and standards including environmental, health, & safety (EHS) regulations.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact with customers, sales branch employees, and other corporate departments.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as electronic mobile devices, computers, hoses, and truck equipment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have or be qualified to obtain and maintain a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Med Card with Airbrake and HAZMAT.
