About the position
The Route Sales Driver at Ole Mexican Foods, INC is responsible for the sales, delivery, and merchandising of products to customers. This entry-level position offers opportunities for advancement within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, focusing on building strong customer relationships and ensuring product availability and freshness.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for sales, delivery, and merchandising of products to customers.
- Drive to customer locations for product delivery.
- Unload products, restock shelves, and rotate products to ensure freshness.
- Invoice customers and issue credits as necessary.
- Load products into the truck and count inventory before departure.
- Complete settle-up sheets and expense reports accurately.
- Collect payments from cash accounts or delinquent accounts.
- Record mileage logs and maintain driving records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Fuel the truck and submit it for scheduled maintenance.
- Sales and servicing of accounts on a daily, weekly, or bi-weekly basis.
Requirements
- 1+ years' experience in Retail, Sales, or a Field Based supervisor role.
- Ability to develop strong relationships and provide a high level of customer service.
- Access to reliable and insured vehicle with a current and valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs and perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, bending, and stooping for long periods.
- Personal access to functional tools such as a smartphone or smart pad and computer.
