About the position

As a Route Sales Professional at Bimbo Bakeries USA, you will be an integral part of the largest baking company in the world, contributing to a team of over 20,000 associates dedicated to delivering the freshest products to consumers. Your role will involve merchandising, stocking, and ensuring the proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays, which is crucial for maintaining the quality and freshness of our offerings. You will drive sales by acquiring new display space and utilizing sales data to develop store-level plans that enhance product visibility and sales performance. In addition to managing existing accounts, you will actively seek out new account opportunities, building effective customer relationships and ensuring that promotional activities are executed successfully. You will also be responsible for introducing new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space, both within current accounts and when soliciting new customers. Daily route settlement procedures will be part of your responsibilities, requiring you to account for all products, invoices, and cash while maintaining accurate inventory counts. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to drive company route trucks safely, complete DOT daily logs, and submit all necessary documentation and deposits on time. This position offers a competitive base pay plus commission, with total earnings ranging from $60,000 to $85,000, along with full benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a retirement plan. Responsibilities

  • Merchandising, stocking, and proper ongoing rotation of product on store shelves and displays.
  • Drive sales through the acquisition of new display space and incremental displays using sales data to establish store-level plans.
  • Follow up on new account opportunities and build effective customer relationships while ensuring promotions are executed.
  • Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and when soliciting new customers.
  • Conduct daily route settlement procedures to account for all products, invoices, and cash while maintaining proper inventory counts.
  • Drive company route truck safely and complete DOT daily log and submit other documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
  • Must be able to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers.
  • 1-3 years of related experience in Direct Sales Distribution (DSD) is preferred.
