About the position
Cintas is seeking a Route Service Sales Representative to manage and grow customer accounts in the Rental Division. This role involves driving a truck along an established route to service and sell within an existing customer base. The position is physical and fast-paced, requiring the delivery and pickup of various rental products. The Route Service Sales Representative acts as the face of Cintas, building rapport with customers, ensuring quality standards, and addressing customer concerns. The role also includes upselling and cross-selling products, negotiating service agreements, and managing inventory, all while adhering to safety and driving regulations. Most representatives work a 4-day workweek with no weekends.
Responsibilities
- Drive a truck along an established route to service and sell to existing customers.
- Deliver and pick up uniforms, shop towels, chemical cleaning products, and other rental products.
- Build rapport with key decision makers and ensure quality standards are met.
- Proactively solve customer concerns and address service issues.
- Grow the existing customer base by upselling and cross-selling additional products and services.
- Negotiate service agreement renewals and manage inventory effectively.
- Work professionally and safely while complying with driving and vehicle regulations.
Requirements
- Must meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements for driving a regulated vehicle weighing more than 10,000 lbs.
- Must have an active driver's license and be at least 21 years of age.
- Obtain a DOT medical certification prior to the first day of employment.
- Provide documentation regarding previous employment.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
- High School diploma, GED, or Military Service required.
- Strong customer service orientation and self-motivation.
- Ability to work in a team environment and meet goals.
- Positive attitude, ambition, organization, and service spirit.
