About the position

Cintas is seeking a Route Service Sales Representative to manage and grow customer accounts in the Rental Division. This role involves driving a truck along an established route to service and sell within an existing customer base. The position is physical and fast-paced, requiring the delivery and pickup of uniforms, shop towels, chemical cleaning products, and other rental items. The Route Service Sales Representative acts as the face of Cintas to customers, building rapport, ensuring quality standards, and proactively solving customer concerns. The role also includes upselling and cross-selling products, negotiating service agreement renewals, and managing inventory, all while adhering to safety and compliance regulations. Most representatives work a 4-day workweek with no weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive a truck along an established route to service and sell to existing customers.
• Deliver and pick up uniforms, shop towels, chemical cleaning products, and other rental items.
• Build rapport with key decision makers and ensure quality standards are met.
• Proactively solve customer concerns and issues.
• Grow the existing customer base by upselling and cross-selling additional products and services.
• Negotiate service agreement renewals with customers.
• Control inventory and ensure compliance with driving and vehicle regulations.

Requirements

• Must meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements for driving a regulated vehicle weighing more than 10,000 lbs.
• Must have an active driver's license and be at least 21 years of age.
• Obtain a DOT medical certification prior to employment.
• Provide documentation regarding previous employment.
• High School diploma, GED, or Military Service required.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Demonstrated strong customer service orientation.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment.
• Positive attitude, ambition, organization, and service spirit.
