About the position
Cintas is seeking a Route Service Sales Representative to manage and grow customer accounts in the Rental Division. This role involves driving a truck along an established route to service and sell within an existing customer base, delivering and picking up various rental items. The position is physical and fast-paced, requiring the representative to build rapport with customers, ensure quality standards, and proactively address customer concerns. The majority of representatives work a 4-day workweek with no weekends, focusing on upselling and cross-selling products and services while adhering to safety and compliance regulations.
Responsibilities
- Drive a truck along an established route to service and sell to existing customers.
- Deliver and pick up uniforms, shop towels, chemical cleaning products, and other rental items.
- Build rapport with key decision makers and ensure quality standards are met.
- Proactively solve customer concerns and address service issues.
- Grow the existing customer base by upselling and cross-selling additional products and services.
- Negotiate service agreement renewals and control inventory.
- Work professionally, safely, and in compliance with driving and vehicle regulations.
Requirements
- Must meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements for driving a regulated vehicle weighing more than 10,000 lbs.
- Have an active driver's license and be at least 21 years of age.
- Obtain a DOT medical certification prior to the first day of employment.
- Provide documentation regarding previous employment.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
- High School diploma, GED, or Military Service.
- Demonstrate a strong customer service orientation.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Possess a positive attitude, ambition, organization, and service spirit.
