About the position
Cintas is seeking a Route Service Sales Representative to manage and grow customer accounts in the Rental Division. This role involves driving a truck along an established route to service an existing customer base, delivering and picking up rental items. The position is physical and fast-paced, requiring the representative to build rapport with customers, ensure quality standards, and proactively address customer concerns. The majority of representatives work a 4-day workweek with no weekends.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow customer accounts in the Rental Division.
- Drive a truck along an established route to service customers.
- Deliver and pick up shop towels, chemical cleaning products, and other rental items.
- Build rapport with key decision makers and ensure quality standards.
- Proactively solve customer concerns and issues.
- Upsell and cross-sell additional products and services to existing customers.
- Negotiate service agreement renewals and control inventory.
- Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Requirements
- Must meet all DOT requirements for driving a regulated vehicle weighing more than 10,000 lbs.
- Must have an active driver's license and be at least 21 years of age.
- Obtain a DOT medical certification prior to employment.
- High School Diploma, GED, or Military Service required.
- Demonstrate a strong customer service orientation.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Possess a positive attitude, ambition, organization, and service spirit.
