About the position

The ROV Pilot is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and associated subsea equipment. This role is crucial for supporting offshore construction, inspection, and intervention activities, requiring a strong technical background and the ability to work effectively in offshore environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on ROV systems, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.
  • Diagnose and repair any malfunctions in the ROV systems, utilizing technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and industry knowledge.
  • Assist in the integration and testing of new ROV systems and subsea tools, ensuring compatibility and operational readiness.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and operations performed on ROV systems.
  • Participate in safety drills and ensure that all operations are conducted with the highest level of safety.
  • Work closely with the ROV Supervisor, offshore engineers, and other team members to ensure successful project execution.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance technical skills and stay current with advancements in ROV technology.
  • Conduct pre-dive checks and post-dive inspections to ensure the integrity and reliability of ROV systems.
