We are currently seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bar Back to join our team at the Boston Harbor Hotel, Boston's premier waterfront hotel. This role is essential to our operations, as the Bar Back supports bartenders and servers in delivering exceptional hospitality to our guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring that it is well-stocked and ready for service. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to start their careers in the hospitality industry, particularly as a Bartender. As a Bar Back, you will greet guests as they arrive and assist in creating a welcoming atmosphere. You will maintain the proper setup of the bar daily, assist bartenders in securing requisitioned liquor, beer, and wine, and ensure that the bar area is clean and well-organized. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining stock levels, cutting, and storing fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality. This role requires a quick and engaging attitude, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff. Responsibilities

  • Greet guests as they arrive or move about the bar area
  • Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily
  • Assist the Bartenders in securing requisitioned liquor, beer, and wine
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the bar area, ensuring clean glasses are stocked
  • Understand the details of the bar operation
  • Work collaboratively with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
  • Assist with maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
