About the position

The Royal Room General Manager at Thompson Austin is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the restaurant, ensuring alignment with Hyatt's corporate strategies and brand standards. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, supporting staff training and development, and ensuring exceptional guest service while meeting the expectations of employees, guests, and owners.

Responsibilities

  • Support the representation of the Hotel Food & Beverage function on behalf of the hotel.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and training of restaurant staff.
  • Assist in coordinating special events.
  • Ensure all employees deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory/managerial experience in a hotel environment.
  • Exceptional people management and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to promote ideas and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and desire for high-quality outcomes.
  • Well-developed computer skills, particularly in MS Office, POS, and Payroll systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business needs, financial reporting, and productivity requirements.
