About the position
The RPC Sorter position at Rehrig Pacific involves hand-sorting returnable plastic containers (RPC) based on manufacturer, quality, and grade through a visual inspection process. Responsibilities
- Engage in Safety to ensure Plan To Zero (PTZ) is met.
- Conduct all activities and perform all job duties and functions following strict adherence to established safety behaviors, processes, and procedures.
- Hand-sort RPC containers accurately and efficiently based on appropriate manufacturer and quality as determined through visual inspection.
- Reclaim customer-owned product and materials.
- Understand, achieve, and sustain production expectations.
- Perform sanitation and good housekeeping practices.
- May be required to operate a Fork-Lift in a safe and efficient manner.
Requirements
- Familiarity using a pallet jack.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. consistently throughout the duration of the shift.
- Ability to effectively perform a job requiring consistent, repetitive motion, bending, twisting, reaching, and lifting.
- High School Diploma, GED, or comparable work-related experience preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior Forklift experience and certification preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced, production-based warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
