About the position

The RPG EDI Programmer position is a contract role based in the Greater Charlotte area, focusing on EDI development within an i-Series environment. The role requires extensive experience in RPG programming and EDI processes, aimed at supporting various business functions such as Order to Cash and Supply Chain Management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain EDI solutions using RPG III, RPG IV, and RPG FreeFormat.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand EDI requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Utilize EDI translators such as Gentran, AS2, TrustedLink, and Extol for data interchange.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of EDI transactions and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
• Work closely with ERP systems based on IBM i to integrate EDI processes.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of developer experience with RPG III, RPG IV, and RPG FreeFormat.
• 5+ years of experience in EDI development.
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL and REST APIs.
• Functional knowledge of business processes including Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, CRM, Financial, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Service Management.
