About the position

The RPG EDI Programmer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and testing EDI maps and related interfaces, as well as troubleshooting EDI transactions and workflows. This role involves assisting in the transition of EDI systems to next-generation environments and implementing monitoring systems for EDI processes. The programmer will also be tasked with developing and maintaining EDI documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and test EDI maps and related interfaces.
  • Assist in troubleshooting EDI transactions and workflows.
  • Delegate non-EDI issues to appropriate resources.
  • Assist in the transition of EDI systems to next-generation environments.
  • Review and assist in the implementation of client-supplied EDI patches.
  • Implement and monitor EDI systems, including data mapping, translation, and interface.
  • Develop and maintain EDI documentation.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of developer experience with RPG III, RPG IV, and RPG FreeFormat.
  • 5+ years of EDI experience.
  • Experience with EDI translators such as Gentran, AS2, TrustedLink, Extol.
  • Functional knowledge of business processes including Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, CRM, Financial, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Service Management.
  • Familiarity with IBM i-based ERP systems.
