About the position

The Operations Manager will oversee the Retirement Plan Services (RPS) Death Claims and Money Out teams, ensuring efficient management of complex financial data and processes. This role involves providing subject matter expertise, coaching, and training to team members while driving process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. The position requires strong leadership skills to manage a dynamic team in a hybrid work environment, focusing on performance management and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage RPS Death Claims and Money Out teams, overseeing their processes and performance.
  • Establish and implement individual and team priorities, performance goals, and objectives.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members, including stretch assignments.
  • Evaluate individual and team performance, taking action to meet or exceed performance standards.
  • Serve as a resource for team members and stakeholders on complex assignments and projects.
  • Manage the processing and administration of complex data and financial transactions.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance results and reduce risk.

Requirements

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, or 4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's.
  • 5+ years of experience in Client Customer Support and Operations, including 2+ years of managerial or supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong relationship management skills with internal clients.
