The position requires a minimum of one year of experience in respiratory therapy, along with either an Associate or Bachelor’s degree from a program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). Responsibilities

  • Perform all respiratory care related duties for adult critical care and NICU patients.
  • Deliver patient care for all ages in complex, multiple problem patient care situations.
  • Assist with endotracheal intubation, airway care, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
  • Perform pulmonary function testing to determine disease state and course of treatment.
  • Draw blood samples and perform chest physiotherapy to remove mucus from the lungs.
  • Administer therapeutic gases and medications for patients with asthma and COPD.
  • Institute, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilators for patients on life support.
  • Educate patients and their families/support systems about respiratory care.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy.
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree in Respiratory Care.
  • Graduate of a Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
  • RCP License is required.
  • Certifications in BLS, PALS, and NRP are preferred.
