About the position
The RS Acft Planner II position at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is focused on supporting Service Center Operations projects. The role involves close collaboration with Scheduling and the Business Office to ensure the successful execution of aircraft project plans, including the establishment of necessary materials and timelines.
Responsibilities
- Establishes Bill of Material and forwards to Spares for parts and materials ordering.
- Performs follow-up on due dates for materials to resolve timing issues impacting aircraft project plans.
- Determines job requirements from support groups for each project, including Custom Engineering and Outside Vendors.
- Downloads CMP as required and adjusts for concurrent tasks and hours needed for project completion.
- Establishes and/or adjusts work descriptions and standard hours while synchronizing with the work order system.
- Develops project flow charts using database templates to preplan each project.
- Supports Operations with all requirements for project planning.
- Conducts training for other planners and fills in for Group Leader and/or Scheduler as needed.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Aviation Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years of related experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe; familiar with SAP, Corridor, and Salesforce.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
- Familiarity with aircraft terminology, components, and systems, including FAA regulations.
- Very familiar with inspection requirements and CMP.
