About The Position

The Route Sales Representative is responsible for meeting customer needs through effective sales strategies, including up-selling and cross-selling products. This role emphasizes superior customer service and proactive management of route responsibilities, ensuring customer loyalty and satisfaction while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license, CDL when applicable.
• Driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding, or safety violations.
• Minimum one year of safe and successful driving experience.
• Excellent customer service and route sales skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to comprehend and follow directions, with good time management skills.
• Ability to recognize colors, sizes, and types of products and perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new customers and up-sell/cross-sell products to ensure a profitable product mix.
• Actively participate in promotions, contests, training, and audits.
• Follow company policies regarding the installation of new customers and managing customer needs.
• Ensure customer loyalty and retention by providing outstanding customer service.
• Build relationships with customers and manage their needs while resolving concerns.
• Safely operate a delivery vehicle and maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform inspections.
• Handle and process customer payments and keep route paperwork current.
• Ensure timely deliveries of complete textile loads and pick up soiled textiles.
• Monitor and report competitive activity and keep service agreements current.
• Accurately prepare route paperwork and follow check-in procedures.
