About the position

The Senior Scrum Master at Sogeti USA is responsible for leading and managing multiple teams in the Global Product Lifecycle (GPL) process. This role involves facilitating Scrum events, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and serving as a liaison between various teams. The Senior Scrum Master will also track progress, manage dependencies, and provide guidance on agile practices to enhance team collaboration and project success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and attend shared Global Product Lifecycle (GPL)-related Scrum events such as PI Planning, Scrum of Scrum, and System Demos.
  • Manage 3 teams as Senior Scrum Master (1 NearShore + 2 Onshore).
  • Conduct weekly Scrum of Scrums and monthly GPL System demos.
  • Facilitate shared team refinements and sprint planning sessions.
  • Maintain calendars for program increments (PIs) or phases of GPL.
  • Implement and lead PI planning events each quarter.
  • Monitor the progress of PIs and ensure alignment with the overall program roadmap.
  • Coordinate and align GPL activities with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Serve as a liaison between product management, development, and operations teams.
  • Proactively track and handle initiative-level dependencies and risks.
  • Look ahead at the program roadmap 6 months and beyond.
  • Create and facilitate initiative artifacts.
  • Ensure the business gathers necessary information before engaging engineers for future components of the initiative.
  • Kick off IT engagement when it's time for engineers to start looking at future segments of work within the initiative.
  • Serve as Scrum Master for one engineering team that is part of this initiative.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are met.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the progress and success of the initiative.
  • Provide regular status updates and reports to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new processes or systems.
  • Facilitate the resolution of issues that may impede project progress.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to team members and stakeholders on agile practices and methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, tools, and team collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or related field.
