About the position

The Scrum Master/Senior Project Manager will play a crucial role in facilitating Agile program events and ensuring effective communication and collaboration among teams. This position is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension, based in a hybrid work model in Minneapolis, MN. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Agile methodologies, particularly in a SAFe environment, and will be responsible for driving program-level continuous improvement and managing risks and dependencies.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate program events such as PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt, Scrum of Scrums, and Portfolio leadership meetings.
  • Facilitate synchronization events, including ART sync and Solution Train sync.
  • Track and report the ART performance, identifying dependencies, risks, and impediments.
  • Facilitate the Agile Release Train (ART), escalate impediments, manage risk, and help drive program-level continuous improvement.
  • Communicate the train's progress via weekly updates to management.
  • Facilitate team collaboration with Solution Architect and Test Lead to ensure high-quality technical delivery.
  • Participate in Portfolio and Program Management process improvement and standardization activities.
  • Interface with project stakeholders and consult with management on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, DevOps) with a minimum of 2 years in a SAFe environment.
  • Direct experience working as an RTE or Program Manager.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience implementing SAFe or a similar Agile scaling framework.
  • SAFe certification: SAFe Agilist (SA), SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE), or SAFe Program Consultant.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience in change management and risk management.
  • Knowledge of Project Management methodologies and tools, and understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
  • Experience with Agile tools: ServiceNow Agile, JIRA, Confluence, AzureDevOps, or other similar ALM tools.
  • Financial and Insurance Product Industry Experience is a plus.
