About the position

The RTL Design Engineer at Apple will play a crucial role in specifying, designing, and verifying advanced mixed-signal circuits, particularly focusing on the digital aspects. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative products that impact millions of customers, requiring a blend of technical expertise and creativity.

Responsibilities

• Specify micro-architecting digital blocks in advanced mixed-signal circuits.
• Perform RTL coding of blocks specified by yourself or others.
• Participate in design verification and bring-up of digital blocks by writing meaningful assertions and debugging code.
• Collaborate with the design verification team to ensure the functionality of the designs.
• Engage in lab bring-up activities, which may include writing test scripts, analyzing lab data, and proposing experiments.

Requirements

• BS degree in a technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Deep understanding of mixed signal concepts and RTL design fundamentals.
• Proficient in Verilog and System-Verilog.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with front-end tools such as Verilog simulators, linters, and clock-domain crossing checkers.
• Working knowledge of synthesis, static timing, and DFT.
• Experience with System-Verilog assertions and design verification techniques.
• Knowledge of SerDes and algorithm development.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Perl and Python.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
