About the position

The Rural Project Manager at the University of Kentucky Center of Excellence in Rural Health will lead the Project RISE initiative, aimed at developing a family support program for those affected by opioid use disorder. This role involves overseeing apprenticeship opportunities, promoting the program, recruiting participants, and ensuring compliance with training requirements. The manager will also coordinate training logistics, manage data, and report on program outcomes, all while working closely with the project team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Project RISE and oversee the development and implementation of apprenticeship opportunities.
  • Promote the program and recruit eligible participants.
  • Evaluate participants for eligibility and ensure compliance with training requirements.
  • Provide ongoing support to participants to foster their success.
  • Coordinate training opportunities and manage logistics, including venue selection and materials preparation.
  • Manage data and reporting to ensure accurate tracking of program outcomes and compliance with grant requirements.
  • Travel to designated rural Appalachian counties in Kentucky for meetings and conferences.

Requirements

  • Master's degree (MA) in a relevant field.
  • 4 years of related experience in project management or a similar role.
  • Leadership skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Suite and project management skills.
  • Strong verbal and visual communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree and 6 years of related experience preferred.
  • Experience in mental health counseling and/or training is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
