About the position

The Outside Sales Account Manager at Rust Automation & Controls is responsible for driving sales and managing customer relationships primarily within the oil refinery sector, as well as with industrial and commercial end users and OEMs. This role involves promoting products and services, engaging with dormant customers, and collaborating with manufacturing partners to achieve sales goals. The position requires a proactive approach to sales and customer engagement, utilizing various communication methods to foster relationships and grow territory sales.

Responsibilities

  • Learn all products offered by Rust Automation & Controls
  • Prospect and promote products, solutions, and services to commercial and industrial accounts within the territory
  • Grow territory sales and gross margin for assigned products through personal visits, video conferences, emails, text messages, and telephone calls
  • Engage dormant customers through personal visits, video conferences, emails, text messages, and telephone calls
  • Work with manufacturing partners via telephone calls, emails, text messages, webinars, seminars, and on-site visits
  • Collaborate with the Sales Support Professional Team to supply needed information for customer accounts in a timely manner
  • Perform site walkdowns in industrial and commercial environments
  • Manage a robust CRM database with accounts, account contacts, active opportunities, and projects
  • Articulate solutions and work with a team to execute

Requirements

  • Technical Degree or 2-3 years of Industrial Sales experience or related field
  • Ability to travel in assigned territory with some overnight travel required
