About the position

The RWA & Small Projects Specialist will act as the expert in Reimbursable Work Authorization (RWA) within the Public Buildings Service, Design and Construction Division, focusing on program analysis, process improvement, and policy management. This role involves overseeing small projects, ensuring cost-effective and timely project delivery, and providing guidance and training to project managers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee policies and standards for small projects and reimbursable projects.
• Provide regional leadership and policy direction for project delivery.
• Improve cost estimate accuracy and consistency.
• Manage the capture and incorporation of historic cost data.
• Ensure training and development for Project Managers on non-prospectus estimates.
• Provide timely data to stakeholders and establish inventory of their needs.
• Create relationships between Project Managers and financial management activities.

Requirements

• US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island).
• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in Federal service, specifically in managing reimbursement programs for facility repairs and improvements.
• Experience in analyzing and resolving operational problems in project management, financial management, acquisition, and property management.
• Ability to assess program development and execution and cultivate customer/client relationships.
