About the position

The RWD Business Analyst position at Norstella involves supporting the delivery of Real World Data (RWD) engagements across the life sciences industry. The role requires a motivated individual with expertise in RWD and the pharmaceutical sector to analyze healthcare data and provide actionable insights to clients. The analyst will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance understanding of healthcare trends and optimize patient care through data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Query and analyze a wide range of healthcare data sources, including claims, lab results, and electronic medical records (EMR).
• Enhance understanding of healthcare trends and optimize patient care through data analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and define analytical requirements.
• Clean, validate, and transform raw data into structured formats suitable for analysis.
• Develop and maintain data documentation to ensure data transparency and accessibility.
• Translate analytic outputs into consultative business insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Economics, Epidemiology, Mathematics, Public Health, Computer Science).
• 3+ years of professional experience working hands-on with RWD.
• Understanding of the life sciences industry and US healthcare ecosystem.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Proficiency in querying relational databases (SQL experience preferred).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
