The Process Engineer at EssilorLuxottica plays a crucial role in the development, analysis, improvement, and implementation of process specifications, control plans, consumable and equipment specifications, and process yield capabilities across the Luxottica manufacturing network. This position is integral to ensuring that the manufacturing processes are efficient, reliable, and meet the high standards of quality expected by the company and its customers. The Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, characterizing, documenting, and implementing manufacturing process improvement initiatives. This includes conducting process experimentation, optimization, control, and sustainment efforts aimed at achieving continuous improvement in yields and cost initiatives. In addition to process improvement, the Process Engineer will lead lean manufacturing initiatives that focus on enhancing safety, reducing cycle times, improving productivity, and increasing process reliability. A key aspect of this role involves performing process capability analysis and implementing process control procedures to ensure compliance with specified requirements. The Process Engineer will also create appropriate process documentation and training tools to support operations personnel in adhering to these processes. The role requires providing technical support for the qualification and validation of new product introductions, ensuring that all aspects of performance, manufacturability, and quality are achieved. The Process Engineer will develop and manage timelines, assess the technical feasibility of project options, and execute implementation plans. Additionally, they will lead or support root cause analysis investigations, recommend corrective and preventative actions, and provide technical input to support process changes. This position also involves conducting investigations and tests related to the development of new manufacturing methods, materials, or processes, and exploring possible applications of the results.
