About the position

The Rx Strategic Account Executive for Health Systems at McKesson is a key role focused on driving new business development and sales growth within the healthcare sector. This position is responsible for engaging with prospective Health System customers, conducting detailed account analyses, and communicating product value propositions. The executive will work closely with the Health Systems team to achieve sales goals and improve gross profit for existing customers, while also supporting onboarding activities for new clients. The role requires a strong understanding of customer needs and the ability to navigate complex sales processes.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Rx sales growth by identifying and engaging with new customers.
  • Prepare competitive Rx pricing quotes and value proposition presentations for new business.
  • Confirm profitability through finance-approved ROI.
  • Present the value proposition of MMS Rx to prospective Health System customers.
  • Establish relationships with key Rx stakeholders within customer and prospect accounts.
  • Support onboarding activities related to new customer implementations.
  • Provide sales expertise to the field sales organization and customers.
  • Maintain existing Rx business within key accounts while targeting new Rx customers.
  • Collaborate with the Health Systems team to target Rx opportunities and attend customer business reviews.
  • Analyze and present Rx margin improvement initiatives and manage Rx pricing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of sales experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • Proven track record of success against financial/sales goals.
  • Experience with Health System accounts and large, strategic account selling.
  • Ability to prepare and present strategic customer presentations to senior leaders.
  • Proven experience working in complex situations and negotiating with senior level decision makers.
  • Ability to strategically build relationships with sales leadership, customers, and internal business partners.
  • Solid understanding of cost and margin structures.

  • Experience with vaccine product knowledge.
  • Ability to train and educate the sales force on product offerings.
