Responsibilities

• Reporting on daily trading activity in commodities markets.
• Gathering pricing information in real time.
• Producing analysis of market pricing and trends during coverage.
• Assessing markets based on physical bids, offers, and traded information.
• Identifying new market coverage opportunities.
• Writing copy, producing graphics, and publishing data explaining price trends.
• Managing and building a contact base for markets through outreach and industry events.
• Representing Platts at conferences and conducting webinars or media interviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, economics, or business preferred.
• Solid understanding of economics and commodities markets fundamentals.
• Reporting, writing, analytical, or editorial experience.
• Strong communication, numeracy, and statistics skills.
• Experience in price reporting or market reporting is a plus.
