About the position

S&P Global is seeking Research Analysts to join our team, particularly those attending the NBMBAA Career Expo. This role is designed to serve as a pipeline for anticipated positions across various locations including Washington, DC, Denver, CO, Houston, TX, Southfield, MI, and remote options in the US and LATAM. The Research Analyst will be responsible for collecting and interpreting data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that can inform business decisions. This includes conducting modeling and forecasting, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive research reports and presentations, and monitoring market and industry developments to identify potential risks and opportunities. Analysts will also present their findings and recommendations to senior management and clients, ensuring that the insights provided are actionable and relevant to the business's strategic goals. Candidates should have experience or knowledge in sectors such as Energy, Power, Renewables, Fuels, Chemicals, Resource Solutions, Commodities, Oil, Gas (including LNG and LPG), Climate Solutions, and Agriculture. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in fields such as Finance, Economics, Science, or Engineering is required. Strong research and analytical skills, along with excellent problem-solving abilities, are essential. Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is necessary, and familiarity with PowerBI is a plus. Additionally, candidates should be proficient in programming languages such as Python, Julia, SQL, and VBA, which will aid in data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities
