About the position

This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about data analysis and market research, with a focus on various sectors including Energy, Power, Renewables, and Commodities. The position is available in multiple locations including Washington, DC, Denver, CO, Houston, TX, Southfield, MI, and offers remote options in the US and LATAM. As a Research Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting and interpreting data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that can inform business decisions. You will conduct modeling and forecasting, collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive research reports, and present your findings to senior management and clients. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to monitor and analyze market developments to identify potential risks and opportunities. Candidates should have a background in research and analysis, with proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and VBA, as well as advanced skills in MS Office applications. Responsibilities

  • Collect and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
  • Conduct modeling and forecasting to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop research reports and presentations.
  • Monitor and analyze market and industry developments to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Economics, Science, Engineering, or other qualified fields.
  • Strong background in research and analysis with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and knowledge of PowerBI.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Julia, SQL, and VBA.

Nice-to-haves
