About the position

The SaaS Business Development Manager for Construction Software is a pivotal role focused on driving growth and expanding market presence for a leading construction software company in Los Angeles. This position requires a blend of sales expertise, industry knowledge, and a passion for technology-driven solutions, aimed at enhancing project management and operational efficiency for construction firms. The role offers significant financial rewards and opportunities for career advancement, with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) of up to $170,000.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets within the construction software sector.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and leveraging industry contacts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with construction firms, contractors, and industry stakeholders to understand their needs and provide tailored software solutions.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the company's SaaS offerings and effectively communicate their value proposition to potential clients.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for growth.
  • Work closely with the marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless client experience and successful software implementation.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and forecast reports using CRM software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • An MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years in business development or sales within the SaaS industry, preferably with a focus on construction software or related fields.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the construction industry and its software needs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
