About the position

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will lead the technology strategy and oversee the development of software platforms for a growing SaaS company that serves e-commerce businesses. This role involves managing a team of IT professionals, ensuring the successful deployment and maintenance of software products, and staying ahead of emerging technologies and industry trends. The position is full-time, direct hire, and requires a hands-on approach to technology management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a growing team of IT professionals including developers, engineers, architects, and QA.
• Assist the team within their tech stack focusing on SaaS, data enrichment, and business intelligence.
• Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of software products.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute IT strategy.
• Ensure the organization stays updated on emerging technologies and e-commerce industry trends.
• Create and manage the IT department budget.

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT leadership roles in software development/management.
• Hands-on experience with tech stack including React, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Experience in a SaaS environment is a plus.
• Experience with Big Data in volume, velocity, and variety.
• Demonstrated experience leading large teams and managing complex software projects.
• Expertise in collaboration with disparate teams; experience managing international teams preferred.
• Bachelor or Master's in Computer Science or a related field preferred.

• Experience in a SaaS environment is a plus.
• Experience building and scaling a team of A players.
