About the position

The SaaS Technical Project Manager at Tyler Technologies is responsible for overseeing the incident response process, ensuring effective communication during and after incidents, and managing the implementation of Tyler software for both new and existing accounts. This role requires collaboration with SaaS engineering to ensure responsiveness and effective management of the incident response process, as well as leading data collection efforts and conducting root cause analysis. The position also involves technical project management for deployment teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet client expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the incident response process and ensure communication during and after incidents.
  • Work with SaaS engineering to manage the incident response process.
  • Lead data collection efforts from internal servers.
  • Write up root cause analysis based on incident findings.
  • Perform data analysis and present findings during incident response.
  • Manage incident timelines and document processes and data collection.
  • Report root cause analysis to stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on current security concerns.
  • Develop implementation project plans and conduct kick-off meetings with clients.
  • Manage aspects of projects related to delivery of client software and services.
  • Acquire and coordinate necessary resources to meet project needs.
  • Plan and track project activity, guiding clients through release planning.
  • Track project hours and submit progress reports as necessary.
  • Manage scope and time to meet client commitments.
  • Communicate effectively throughout the team and with stakeholders.
  • Ensure quality of project team deliverables and document status and issues.
  • Identify, report, and manage risks and project obstacles.
  • Act as a client liaison, communicating feedback and resolving issues.
  • Conduct planning sessions with clients to create documented management plans.
  • Monitor progress to ensure compliance with project plans and notify parties of schedule changes.
  • Publish summaries of key dates and issues to all involved Tyler employees.
  • Communicate completion of milestones to clients and secure formal acceptance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience.
  • Minimum of three years of experience as an implementation professional or equivalent.
  • Solid and proven project management experience.
  • Work toward obtaining PMP certification and maintain status after certification.
  • Knowledge of software life cycle and enterprise software.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical ability in a technical environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and persuasion skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel.
