About the position

The SaaS Technology Automation Engineer at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City will play a crucial role in providing technical support for internal and external SaaS tools and their supporting infrastructure. This position focuses on ensuring the availability, reliability, scalability, and maintainability of applications while leading the resolution of technical issues and enhancing operational efficiency through automation. The role requires strong technical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to align business objectives with technical execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the resolution of critical technical issues, providing prompt and complete resolution to technical challenges and business issues.
  • Understand how customers use our technology and ensure alignment of success metrics.
  • Assume case ownership and resolve customer issues through debugging and troubleshooting.
  • Assist developers in troubleshooting their integration with SaaS products and other developer products.
  • Participate in project work, including building new monitoring tools and improving existing processes.
  • Conduct routine platform administrative tasks such as user management and data management.
  • Assess, identify, and implement automation to reduce manual tasks.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in providing support and mentoring others.
  • Create knowledge base materials to enhance operational efficiency and empower the support community.
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities for automation and streamlining operations.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires 3+ years working with SaaS based platforms in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience with Database concepts and SQL, SOQL, and SOSL.
  • Understanding of internet technologies such as firewalls and web servers.
  • Demonstrated skill in Customer Support or Customer Service in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience in both front-end and back-end software development.
  • Advanced experience developing solutions in an iterative (Agile) approach.
  • Experience integrating SaaS providers and working in a multivendor integrated environment.
  • Experience with source code management tools like Git or SVN.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications related to support of Docusign, Salesforce, ID.me, AWS are a plus.
  • Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Scrum methodology is a plus.
  • Familiarity with security best practices and compliance regulations is a plus.
