About the position

The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a crucial role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities for Oracle's SaaS services. This position is responsible for designing and implementing a go-to-market plan that aims to deliver measurable and significant revenues. The BDR will engage in the early stages of the sales cycle, acting as a primary liaison between various teams, including Consulting, Sales, and Oracle Development, to facilitate product sales opportunities. The BDR will be assigned to strategic accounts, often grouped by industry, where Oracle has a limited presence, and will work to establish Oracle as a preferred vendor in these markets. Key responsibilities include defining and driving SaaS services messaging across cross-line of business (xLoB) sales and engineering teams, as well as educating these teams on the CSS SaaS service offerings. The BDR will also work closely with internal CSS sales teams to create relevant content and messaging, identify and advance SaaS services sales into pertinent opportunities, and act as a subject matter expert during executive-level customer conversations. Additionally, the BDR will be responsible for reporting on CSS SaaS services leads and opportunities to internal Oracle audiences, ensuring that the overall management of these leads is effectively handled. The role requires a proactive approach to generating business opportunities through prospecting and leveraging third-party partnerships. The BDR will execute aggressive strategies to drive the product as the preferred choice for customers, providing account representatives with essential information on how Oracle's products can meet specific needs and assist in closing large revenue opportunities.
